PELA CFDC

PELA CFDC is a community-based, not-for-profit corporation that encourages local entrepreneurship and economic development.

Prince Edward / Lennox & Addington Community Futures Development Corporation provides:

Business loans, grants and training, free business counseling services, information and statistical analysis, and connections to entrepreneurs, investors and community groups.

SBC

The Small Business Centre is a province-wide program of the Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure, offering free and confidential assistance to businesses during start-up, expansion, succession and closure.

Located in the Quinte Economic Development Centre at Loyalist College and serves a territory from Brighton to Napanee and PEC to Algonquin Park, and satellite services in Prince Edward County to anyone interested in self-employment in The County. Co-located with PELA CFDC, they offer one-to-one business coaching, assisting with start-up information, registration, business plan development, resource networking and loan/grant application to other agencies. SBC also works closely with the Community Economic Development Department and other organizations, to host workshops designed to increase the knowledge and skills of our business community. smallbusinessctr.com

Prince Edward Chamber of Tourism and Commerce

The Chamber partners with the municipality to operate the visitor information centre that provides accommodation information, ideas for activities and opportunities to experience all that Prince Edward County has to offer visitors. Beyond visitor services, the Chamber is the voice of business in the community monitoring issues that affect business at the local, provincial and federal levels.

First Stone Venture Partners is a venture partnership founded by entrepreneurs who have invested their own capital.

First Stone Venture Partners

Their goal is technology-based innovation in rural communities. They are raising $5M to make 25 investments in new start-ups over the next three years offer entrepreneurs both financing and strategic counsel to accelerate their growth. They have a business incubator located in Picton with 28k sq. ft. of newly renovated space for 25 start-ups and companies. They provide essential accounting, tax, and legal support in a common space that allows new businesses to engage with mentors and other peers. fsvp.ca

The County Community Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to building a strong and healthy PEC encouraging community-oriented philanthropy, providing leadership to assess and address community needs. The CCF raises funds and makes strategic grants to education, healthcare, community service, arts & culture, youth, environment, and community development.
